SubRosa new album

Salt Lake City gothic doom metal outfit SubRosa has shared another epic track from their new album For This We Fought the Battle of Ages, out August 26 via Profound Lore. Following the 13-minute gothic doom highlight “Wound of the Warden,” the band today premiered the dense, yet graceful and gorgeous (and relatively brief at, um, 10 minutes) “Killing Rapture,” via Stereogum. Of course, a short SubRosa track is still a pretty substantial one, so get comfortable and feel the thunder. Listen to the SubRosa “Killing Rapture” stream below.

For This We Fought the Battle of Ages follows 2013’s More Constant Than the Gods.

SubRosa For This We Fought the Battle of Ages tracklist:

1. Despair Is A Siren
2. Wound of the Warden
3. Black Majesty
4. Il Cappio
5. Killing Rapture
6. Troubled Cells

SubRosa’s “Wound of the Warden” is one of our picks for the best metal tracks of the month.
