Under Byen announces new album - 01.28.2010
Eccentric Danish post-rock outfit Under Byen kinda blew our minds with 2006's Samme Stof Som Stof. And after more than three years of letting that dark odyssey simmer, the band has returned with a new set, titled Alt Er Tabt, due April 6 on Paper Bag Records.
Billed as their "most direct album to date," Alt Er Tabt features songwriting contributions from all members and its sound is described as "on the edge of exploding into a new meaning, new complexity and new shades of wealth." So we don't know what that means but it sounds cool.

The Bird and the Bee to release Hall & Oates tribute - 01.28.2010
The Bird and the Bee, the Los Angeles duo of Greg Kurstin and Inara George, have already released a pair of lounge-influenced, electro-pop records, but their next project involves a tip of the hat to another legendary duo. On March 23, The Bird and the Bee will release Guiltless Pleasures Vol. 1: A Tribute to Daryl Hall and John Oates on Blue Note Records. The duo covers nine Hall & Oates classics, all of which are wonderful choices. But we can't help but wonder if there will be a Volume 2, and if so, which pop sensation they'll take on?
Tracklist:
1. Heard It On The Radio
2. I Cant Go For That
3. Rich Girl
4. Sarah Smile
5. Kiss On My List
6. Maneater
7. Shes Gone
8. Private Eyes
9. One on One
