Chromatics, Desire release art book - 06.19.2012


Italians Do It Better is releasing an art book this week, which is part of a collaborative project between Johnny Jewel's bands Chromatics and Desire. The book contains drawings connected to Chromatics' new album Kill For Love, as well as lyrics from the album.

Woods announce new album - 06.19.2012


Woods have announced Bend Beyond, their follow-up to 2011's Sun and Shade, will be released Sept. 18 via Woodsist Records.

The group also has a series of live dates lined up this summer in advance of the album's release.

Cloud Nothings to release live 12-inch - 06.19.2012


On July 17, Cloud Nothings are planning to release a 12-inch live album titled Live at the Grog Shop, recorded on April 5 in Cleveland. The live record consists largely of tracks from their latest album Attack On Memory, some of which were released as a free download earlier this year.

To coincide with new album Swing Lo Magellan, The Dirty Projectors are releasing a film titled "Hi Custodian," directed by the band's Dave Longstreth. It features music from the band's new album, and you can watch the trailer below.



Video: Twin Shadow - "Five Seconds" - 06.19.2012
In the biggest-planned video premiere event by an indie rock artist we can remember, Twin Shadow Monday night unveiled the video for new track, "Five Seconds" (from upcoming album Confess) in Times Square. And, frankly, the video is a pretty huge production. George Lewis does some motorcycle riding stunts, with cinematic narrative overdubs, while masked guys with chains and bats chase after him. It's pretty crazy! Watch it below.
