The xx, M83, Public Enemy to play Treasure Island fest - 06.26.2012


San Francisco's Treasure Island Festival has announced this year's lineup, which you can check out in the poster above. Girl Talk and The xx are headlining Saturday and Sunday's dates, respectively, and also featured this year are M83, Public Enemy, Grimes, Ty Segall, The War on Drugs, Divine Fits, Best Coast, The Gossip, The Presets, SBTRKT, Youth Lagoon, Matthew Dear and many more. Full lineup is above.

Treasure Island Festival is happening Oct. 13 and 14 at Treasure Island, in San Francisco.

Stream the new Old Man Gloom album - 06.26.2012


Today, hardcore/metal supergroup Old Man Gloom release No, their first new album in eight years, via Hydra Head Records. Self Titled magazine is streaming the whole thing right now, with some spectacular track-by-track commentary from the band.

Video: Death Grips - "Double Helix" - 06.26.2012
Death Grips are never ones to do anything in a conventional manner, and the video for "Double Helix," from new album The Money Store, is certainly the farthest thing from conventional. The self-directed clip was shot on a Toyota Prius rear-view camera. Watch the totally weird but awesome video below.

Divine Fits announce debut album - 06.26.2012


Divine Fits, the new trio comprising Spoon's Britt Daniel, Wolf Parade's Dan Boeckner and New Bomb Turks' Sam Brown, has announced their first album, A Thing Called Divine Fits, will be released Aug. 28 via Merge Records.

The band says of the album via press release, "Over the course of its 11 songs it covers such topics as the death of true love, hitchhiking, cocoa butter, emotional distance, what happens when the curtain drops, and Minneapolis, MN. We think it's truly pretty great."

Video: Jens Lekman - "Erica America" - 06.26.2012
Jens Lekman just debuted the first video from upcoming album I Know What Love Isn't. The clip is a fairly straightforward one, with Jens playing solo in a warehouse, as he's gradually joined by other musicians. Watch the Marcus Söderlund-directed video below.

Listen: Yeasayer's New Single 'Longevity' - 06.26.2012


Yeasayer have released a second track from August's forthcoming 'Fragrant World' album.

Chris Keating describes the record as "...a demented R&B record...It's like an Aaliyah album if you played it backwards and slowed it down. Or David Bowie's 'Lodger'. Those two are major influences."

Fragrant World is released August 20th.
