Frank Ocean's new album available one week early on iTunes - 07.09.2012


Frank Ocean's Channel Orange is slated for release through all retail outlets July 17, via Def Jam. However, Frank gave fans an early gift by releasing it to iTunes a week early. It's available right now.

Zola Jesus' new clip for "Seekir," from 2011's Conatus, is a suitably stylized and mysterious clip. There's a lot of cool visual effects, and even some unexpected pop choreography. Watch the Jacqueline Castel-directed video below.



The Mountain Goats announce new album - 07.09.2012


The Mountain Goats have just announced that Transcendental Youth, their follow-up to 2011's All Eternals Deck, will be released Oct. 2 via Merge Records. According to a press release written by John Hodgman (yes, that John Hodgman), the album will contain a full horn section and is a "very joyful noise." Sounds like it'll be a hoot!

Grizzly Bear reveal album cover, title - 07.09.2012


Grizzly Bear is set to release a follow-up to their 2009 album Veckatimest this fall, and now there's artwork and a title to go with that album. The album is called Shields, the wobbly spade/club image above is its cover, and it will be out Sept. 18 via Warp. Listen to new track "Sleeping Ute" below.
