Cody ChesnuTT to release new album - 07.10.2012
It's been a long time since we heard from funk-soul artist Cody ChesnuTT. He released the critically acclaimed The Headphone Masterpiece 10 years ago, which is also around the time he collaborated with The Roots on "The Seed 2.0" (which was one of our favorite singles of the '00s). Now, after a full decade, ChesnuTT is returning with a brand new full-length titled Landing on a Hundred, which is due in October.
ChesnuTT is funding the album via Kickstarter, and as of right now he's a little over a quarter of the way to his goal, with 36 days to go. Watch his Kickstarter video below.

Video: Peaking Lights - "Beautiful Son" - 07.10.2012
The video clip for Peaking Lights' "Beautiful Son," from latest album Lucifer, is an appropriately weird visual accompaniment to the stunning psych-pop song. The video, directed by LEGS, features the duo -- Indra Dunis and Aaron Coyes -- in stop motion space-age sequences with their son Mikko. It's cute and might freak you out at the same time. Watch it below, courtesy of Dazed Digital.

Ty Segall announces third album this year - 07.10.2012
There is no stopping Ty Segall. First he unleashed Hair, his collaboration with White Fence. And then, with the Ty Segall Band, he offered up a massive set of heavy psych-rock in Slaughterhouse. And on Oct. 9, he'll release his third album this year, titled Twins, via Drag City.
There's not much information about the record just yet, but we can probably safely assume it rocks.
