Bat For Lashes reveals album cover (sorta NSFW), video for "Laura" - 07.23.2012


Bat For Lashes has revealed the cover to The Haunted Man, her follow up to 2009's Two Suns, which is out Oct. 23 via Capitol. The cover, as you can see above, doesn't leave that much the imagination. However, there's less bare flesh in the new video for "Laura," which you can view below.

In case you hadn't heard, Dirty Projectors' new album Swing Lo Magellan is one of the year's best albums. The band is currently touring behind the album, and bringing with them a tour-only 7-inch single with exclusive A-side "Buckle Up." For those interested in obtaining a copy of the vinyl single, it will be available as a tour giveaway and will not be for sale. Sebadoh releases first new music in 13 years - 07.23.2012


Lo-fi indie rock heroes Sebadoh have released a brand new digital EP titled Secret via Bandcamp. The collage above is its cover, and it features three tracks written by Lou Barlow and two by Jason Loewenstein, and features drums by Bob D'Amico. In notes accompanying the EP, the band said that this is "a taste of our upcoming 2013 album, but, NONE of these songs will be on that album." So while we wait for the full-length, we've got some lo-fi rockers to enjoy. Listen here.

Deerhoof announce new album - 07.23.2012


Deerhoof is back with another brand new set of hook-laden noise rock. Following last year's Deerhoof Vs. Evil, Deerhoof will release Breakup Song Sept. 4 via Polyvinyl.

New Order announce North American tour dates - 07.23.2012


New Order has been reactivated this year, having played shows in Europe, and according to Rolling Stone, the group will now tour the United States this fall, without bassist Peter Hook, with whom the group had a falling out recently.

Listen: Flying Lotus with Earl Sweatshirt - "Between Friends" - 07.23.2012


The latest entry in the Adult Swim Singles Series is a collaboration between Flying Lotus and Earl Sweatshirt titled "Between Friends." It also features someone named Captain Murphy, but we have no idea who that is.

While Flying Lotus is releasing a new album later this year titled Until the Quiet Comes, this song is not on the album. The Adult Swim Singles Series this year has so far included songs by Wye Oak, The Field, The Hives, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Absu, and in the coming weeks will feature tracks by Death Grips, Wavves, Elite Gymnastics, Gauntlet Hair, Com Truise, and Yamantaka// Sonic Titan.
