Spoon's Britt Daniel announces another new band - 08.03.2012
Britt Daniel, frontman of Austin indie rockers Spoon, has recently been working with new band Divine Fits, which features members of Wolf Parade and New Bomb Turks. But it turns out Daniel is working with a new, entirely unrelated band. According to Consequence of Sound, the band is called Spl:t S:ngle, and also includes Jon Wurster (Superchunk, Mountain Goats) and Jason Narducy (Telekinesis, Guided by Voices). Narducy is the leader of the band, and writes all the songs.
Also, in an interview with Exclaim, Daniel said that there are no specific plans for Spoon right now, but that there are some songs "in the works." So we may well see a follow-up to 2010's Transference, before too long.
