Kylesa announce rarities compilation - 08.28.2012
Nearly two years have lapsed since Kylesa's amazing 2010 album Spiral Shadow, yet the Savannah metal band isn't slowing down yet. On Nov. 20, the band will release From the Vaults Vol. 1, via Season of Mist. The compilation will feature rare and unreleased tracks, including a brand new song, "End Truth," and the group's cover of Pink Floyd's "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun."

FYF Fest goes down this Labor Day Weekend (Sept. 1 and 2) in Los Angeles, and today the full schedule for the weekend has been posted. Boy oh boy, are you going to have to make some tough decisions.
King Tuff vs. The Men? Cloud Nothings vs. Vaselines? M83 vs. Quicksand? Chromatics vs. Hot Snakes? Dinosaur Jr. vs. Glass Candy? Beirut vs. The Faint? Future Islands vs. Fucked Up? We could go on. But you're pretty much guaranteed an awesome weekend no matter which adventure you choose.

Metal legends Neurosis return this fall with another new set of (potentially) crushing sludge metal, titled Honor Found in Decay. The album drops Oct. 30, via Neurot Recordings. The album was recorded once again with Steve Albini, with whom the band has had a longstanding professional relationship, and the image above is its cover art.

The album comes out Oct. 9 via Epitaph, and that lunar phase art (designed by frontman Jacob Bannon) is the album's cover.
