Following AlunaGeorge's debut EP You Know You Like It, released earlier this year, the UK duo have signed with Island and preparing a full-length due sometime next year. Next week, Melody's Echo Chamber, aka Melody Prochet, releases her debut, self-titled album via Fat Possum. Produced by Tame Impala's Kevin Parker, the album blends that band's fuzzy psych-rock with the dreamy whimsy of Broadcast. It's a winner, and you can stream it a week early courtesy of NPR.

Tim Hecker, Oneohtrix Point Never's Daniel Lopatin to release collab album - 09.17.2012

Ambient/progressive electronic fans, rejoice: Tim Hecker and Oneohtrix Point Never's Daniel Lopatin are releasing a collaborative album Nov. 20 titled Instrumental Tourist, via Mexican Summer. The album is the first in Mexican Summer's SSTUDIOS series, which brings together electronic artists working in collaboration.

The album's material largely came out of improvisational sessions, which used exotic, digitally-sourced "Instruments of the World." So, it's safe to say that this will be something a little different.

Tracklist:

1. Uptown Psychedelia
2. Scene From a French Zoo
3. Vacinnation For Thomas Mann
4. Instrusions
5. Whole Earth Tascam
6. GRM Blue II
7. GRM Blue III

Video: Cat Power - "Cherokee" - 09.17.2012
Cat Power's first video from the excellent new Sun has a touch of dystopia to it. Mad Max-like survivalists and zombies engage in conflict in a desert landscape. Watch the clip, directed by Chan Marshall herself, below.

Video: Frank Ocean - "Pyramids" (NSFW) - 09.17.2012
Frank Ocean has just delivered the video for Channel Orange's epic "Pyramids," though it's been edited down a bit from its album version. Also, there's a fair amount of nudity in it, so maybe don't watch it at work. But the thing we really need to warn you about is that John Mayer's in it. Yup. Watch the video, directed by Nabil, below.
