Replacements reunite for covers EP - 10.03.2012
Rolling Stone reports that Paul Westerberg and Tommy Stinson have recorded a four-song EP of covers, which will be released later this year. The band will auction off all 250 copies online to help pay for the medical bills of former Mats guitarist Slim Dunlap, who had a stroke earlier this year.
The duo recorded the EP with drummer Peter Anderson and Westerberg's touring guitarist Kevin Bowe. Drummer Chris Mars "didn't want any part of this," per Westerberg.
The EP features covers of Dunlap's "Busted Up," "Everything's Coming Up Roses" from the Broadway musical Gypsy, Gordon Lightfoot's 1965 song "I'm Not Sayin'", and "Lost Highway" by Hank Williams.

Video: Killer Mike - "Reagan" - 10.03.2012
The third video from Killer Mike's R.A.P. Music is for the angry, politically charged "Reagan," and it's probably not a coincidence that it arrives on the day of the first presidential debate of 2012. The animated clip is an incredible sequence through conspiracy theory imagery, from robot Reagans to a rapping Illuminati pyramid. Suffice it to say, it's pretty damn cool. Watch it below.

Willis Earl Beal releases free EP via BitTorrent - 10.03.2012
Willis Earl Beal released his debut album Acousmatic Sorcery earlier this year, but before signing with XL, the singer-songwriter gave away a lot of free music, often in the form of CD-Rs strategically placed in various locations. His new free EP, Principles of a Protagonist, isn't quite as old-fashioned in its distribution channel, but still released in a fashion generally not taken by signed artists. Beal is offering the EP via BitTorrent, in partnership with XL/Hot Charity.

Tracklist:
