Tomahawk, the alt-metal supergroup fronted by Mike Patton and featuring members of Battles, Melvins and The Jesus Lizard, have unveiled their first new music in six years. "Stone Letter" is planned for a seven-inch single release on Nov. 23, aka Record Store Day's Black Friday. The song will also be on the bands upcoming full-length, Oddfellows, due Jan. 29 via Ipecac. Bikini Kill to reissue first EP - 10.04.2012
Bikini Kill recently launched Bikini Kill Records, through which the seminal riot grrrl punk band plans to reissue items from their catalog and various unreleased or rare recordings. The first in the series is the band's debut EP, which comes out Nov. 20.
The reissue will feature a fanzine/poster with archival photos, liner notes by Skinned Teen's Layla Gibbon, pages from Bikini Kill's zines, and interviews with Ian MacKaye (who recorded four tracks on the EP) and Bratmobile's Molly Neuman.

Public Enemy, Kraftwerk, Chic nominated to Rock Hall of Fame - 10.04.2012
The Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame has just unveiled its nominees for 2013: in alphabetical order, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Chic, Deep Purple, Heart, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Albert King, Kraftwerk, the Marvelettes, the Meters, Randy Newman, N.W.A., Procol Harum, Public Enemy, Rush and Donna Summer.
The Rock Hall 2013 induction ceremony will be held April 18, 2013 at Los Angeles' Nokia Theater, and will be broadcast on HBO. Should be a jam.
