Unknown Mortal Orchestra announce new album - 10.11.2012
Portland-by-way-of-New Zealand fuzz pop outfit Unknown Mortal Orchestra has a new album on the way. On Feb. 5, 2013, UMO will release II, the group's follow-up to 2011's self-titled debut, via Jagjaguwar. Continuing on the psychedelic path laid out on the group's first album, II is said to be influenced by the likes of Pink Floyd, Soft Machine, The Beatles and Sly and the Family Stone. Groovy.

In December, Scott Walker will release Bish Bosch, his follow-up to 2006's dark, disturbing masterpiece, The Drift. And based on the sound of a new trailer for the album, this album looks to be in a similarly eerie vein. Check out the preview video below, which is directed by Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard and contains clips of the album tracks "See You Don't Bump His Head", "Tar", "Dimple", "Corps De Blah", "Phrasing", and "Epizootics!"
