Ra Ra Riot announces new album, tour dates - 10.23.2012
Ra Ra Riot is coming back in 2013 in a big way. On Jan. 22, the band will release Beta Love, their follow up to 2010's The Orchard, via Barsuk. The album was recorded in Oxford, Miss. with Dennis Herring (Modest Mouse, Elvis Costello) and draws inspiration from "the works of cyberpunk novelist William Gibson and futurist Ray Kurzweil's musings on technological singularity and transhumanism," per a press release.
Following the album's release, the group has a long series of tour dates lined up as well. And before that, Ra Ra Riot is playing some shows this fall with Passion Pit. Check out the dates below, along with the album's tracklist.

Sharon Van Etten is releasing a deluxe edition of her latest album Tramp on Nov. 13, via Jagjaguwar. The deluxe package will include the original album, as well as demo versions of each of the songs on the album. The album also includes an acoustic demo of "Tell Me," which you can stream below, and liner notes from Van Etten's journals.
