Metz announce new album, Strange Peace
Canadian noise-rock trio Metz have just announced a new album. On September 22, the band will release Strange Peace, their third album, via Sub Pop. The band recorded the album with Steve Albini, with additional recording and mixing from Graham Walsh.
“The songs on Strange Peace are about uncertainty,” vocalist Alex Edkins says of the album in a statement. “They’re about recognizing that we’re not always in control of our own fate, and about admitting our mistakes and fears. They’re about finding some semblance of peace within the chaos.”
The first single from the album is “Cellophane.” Listen to it below, and take a look at the artwork, tracklist and the band’s upcoming tour dates.
Strange Peace follows 2015’s II.
