Blood Orange drops Freetown Sound early, with video


Dev Hynes has released the third album under his R&B/electronica moniker Blood Orange. Freetown Sound was scheduled to drop the LP Friday, July 1, but Hynes surprised everyone with an official leak just after midnight Tuesday. The album—named after the capital of Sierra Leone, where his father grew up—features contributions from Debbie Harry, Nelly Furtado, Ta-Nehisi Coates, Carly Rae Jepsen, and more. Blood Orange also released a video for the new song “Augustine.”
