Chat Pile announce new album, Cool World
Chat Pile have announced a new album. On October 11, the Oklahoma City noise rock group will release their sophomore album, Cool World, via The Flenser. They’ve shared the first new single from the album, “I Am Dog Now,” which you can hear below. They’ve also lined up tour dates this fall, including shows with their Flenser labelmates Mamaleek and Agriculture. Check those out below.
“Cool World covers similar themes to our last album, except now exploded from a micro to macro scale, with thoughts specifically about disasters abroad, at home, and how they affect one another,” said vocalist Raygun Busch in a statement. “If I had to describe the album in one sentence, It’s hard not to borrow from Voltaire, so I won’t resist – Cool World is about the price at which we eat sugar in America.”
Cool World follows 2022’s God’s Country, which was on our list of the Best Albums of 2022.
