Dais announces reissue of Coil’s Constant Shallowness Leads to Evil
Dais Records is reissuing more music from the archives of industrial legends Coil. On August 12, Dais releases Constant Shallowness Leads to Evil, originally released in 2000, which was one of three albums the group released that year. A press release states that Coil’s Thighpaulsandra calls the album “an exercise in brutality,” and it has its origins in a specific patch on one of Peter “Sleazy” Christopherson’s synthesizers. The album features six compositions, including the 27-minute “Tunnel of Goats,” which is, according to a statement, “Intended to scramble the functionality of a CD player’s shuffle mode.” Hear the nearly half-hour-long piece below, and check out the tracklist.
