Dawn Richard and Spencer Zahn announce new album, Quiet In a World Full of Noise
Dawn Richard and Spencer Zahn have announced a new album. Two years after their collaborative debut, 2022’s Pigments, the duo have announced Quiet In a World Full of Noise, which will be released on October 4 via Merge. Today they’ve released a new single, “Breath Out,” which you can hear below.
“I wrote all these stream-of-consciousness pieces on piano, and they were eerie, spacious piano tracks,” said Zahn in a statement.
“I did not write this down—I purged it out, and then I didn’t change anything after it. Our family has a distorted view of therapy; I’ve had to do a lot of healing on my own. So this was a moment of severe openness, sharing that moment with the world,” Richard added.
Pigments is on our list of the 50 Best Albums of 2022. Zahn recently released his solo double album, Statues I & II.
