Hear a new song from Armand Hammer, “The Gods Must Be Crazy”
On Friday, Armand Hammer release their new album We Buy Diabetic Test Strips via Fat Possum. And it’s fantastic, by the way—in fact, it’s currently our Album of the Week. The New York hip-hop duo have already shared a few tracks, “Trauma Mic” and “Woke Up and Asked Siri How I’m Gonna Die.” And today, they’ve released one more single before the album is out. “The Gods Must Be Crazy” is a trippy and frantic new highlight from the album, featuring production from El-P (who also appeared on billy woods’ 2022 album Aethiopes). El-P said of the new song in a statement, “[Armand Hammer’s billy] woods and Elucid have something special going, and I am happy we got together on this jam. I think we made a banger.”
Armand Hammer’s last album was 2021’s Haram. El-P’s Fantastic Damage is featured on our list of the 50 Best Hip-Hop Debut Albums.
