Hear the new plague-inspired album from Charles Spearin and Josefin Runsteen

Charles Spearin, of Broken Social Scene and Do Make Say Think, and Josefin Runsteen have just released a new collaborative album inspired by the plague (timely!), titled Thank God the Plague Is Over, via Arts & Crafts. The two artists first met in 2019 at a castle in Italy that was once owned from the famed Von Trapp family. They took part in a residency, where they were invited by Feist and Damien Rice, where they ended up recording these improvisational pieces in a small chapel. It’s sometimes tense, sometimes graceful, and frequently interesting experimental instrumental music. Hear the full album below.
