Japanese Breakfast’s memoir, Crying in H Mart, to be adapted into film
Earlier this year, Japanese Breakfast‘s Michelle Zauner released her debut memoir, Crying In H Mart, which landed on the New York Times bestseller list. Now, her book is being adapted into a film. MGM’s Orion Pictures has acquired the rights to adapt her memoir into a film, which will be produced by Stacey Sher and Jason Kim, and will feature a soundtrack from Japanese Breakfast.
“It is a surreal thrill to have the opportunity to memorialize my mother in film, and I consider it of the highest honor to pursue that task alongside creative luminaries such as Stacey Sher, Jason Kim and Orion Pictures,” Zauner says in a press release.
Japanese Breakfast have also expanded their tour. Check out those dates below.
