Hear the new High Vis single, “Trauma Bonds”
London’s High Vis have been steadily releasing singles from their upcoming album Blending, out September 9 via Dais. And several of them, including “Talk for Hours” and “Fever Dream,” were named Essential Tracks by this very website. Today they share another new track from the album, “Trauma Bonds,” which you can hear below. They’ve also got some UK tour dates coming up, including shows with Militarie Gun, Fiddlehead and The Chisel. Check out those dates below.
The group’s vocalist Graham Sayle says of the song in a statement, “‘Trauma Bonds’ was written after the news of another tragic suicide of one of our friends during lockdown. It forced us to reflect on how the death of young people had become so normalized within our group of friends that we had become numb to it. Friendships became Trauma Bonds and the gravity of these situations suppressed through toxic coping mechanisms. The song is a hopeful exploration into these feelings in an attempt to support each other through better communication and collective empathy.”
