Late last year, Depeche Mode’s Martin Gore announced he was releasing a new EP, titled The Third Chimpanzee, on January 29 via Mute Records. Previously, he shared the first single “Mandrill,” and now today, Gore has shared another new track from the EP, titled “Howler.”
“‘Howler’ was the first track I recorded for The Third Chimpanzee EP,” Gore says in a press release. “I resynthesized some vocals that almost sounded human, but not quite. That’s why I decided to name the track after a monkey. I thought that would be a good theme to carry on with the rest of the tracks.”
