Mono announce new documentary soundtrack, My Story, The Buraku Story (An Original Soundtrack)
Mono have announced the release of their first film soundtrack. On May 27, the Tokyo post-rock group will release My Story, The Buraku Story (An Original Soundtrack), via Temporary Residence. The album is the group’s score for a documentary film about “the burakumin,” a marginalized society in Japan, discriminated against because of their bloodline and residence. The first track they’ve shared from the album is “Kioku,” which you can hear below. Also check out the album’s artwork and tracklist below.
Mono’s last album was 2021’s Pilgrimage of the Soul.
