New Order share new song “Be a Rebel,” reschedule tour with Pet Shop Boys
New Order were originally supposed to be spending 2020 on tour with fellow synth-pop pioneers Pet Shop Boys, but the pandemic scuttled those plans. However, they’ve rescheduled those dates for 2021, which you can see below. New Order have also shared their first new song in five years. It’s titled “Be A Rebel,” and you can hear it below.
New Order’s Bernard Sumner says of the song in a press release, “In tough times we wanted to reach out with a new song. We can’t play live for a while, but music is still something we can all share together. We hope you enjoy it… until we meet again.”
