TRASH MAG features artist submissions from around the United States (sometimes internationally as well). Featuring music, poetry, painting, drawing, photography, and much more, the zine is an effort to make space for underrepresented artists in the media. Submissions are opened to the public around a  timely theme, then artists send in their work along with answers to questions related to the theme. The result is a beautiful window into how artists of many different backgrounds are feeling across the country.
About the creators:
TRASH MAG’s creators are Bergen Flom and Sara Ghassemzadeh. The two met their freshman year of undergrad, became quick friends, and adopted the zine. Based in Los Angeles, the two have produced 9 print issues and designed around 25 music and gallery events around the United States.
