Kill Rock Stars has released a new Dungeons & Dragons themed compilation, titled Spelljams, featuring songs from Osees, Shabazz Palaces, Red Fang, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, Reggie Watts and more. The compilation is curated by Chris Funk of The Decemberists, avid D&D fan, and coincides with the release of the new Spelljammer: Adventures In Space. It was made in partnership with D&D story architect Chris Perkins, who is also the lead designer of Spelljammer: Adventures In Space. The digital version is out now, with a vinyl edition to be released in January.

“You know what they like on the Rock of Bral?” Perkins said in a press release, referring to a location in Spelljammer. “Rock music! The brilliant Chris Funk has assembled a motley crew of bards to create Spelljams—music inspired by our newest Spelljammer adventure, Light of Xaryxis. I encourage Dungeon Masters use Spelljams as background music during their D&D game sessions or listen to it while dreaming up future hijinks. Everyone else: enjoy the music of Wildspace!”
