The Cult announce Death Cult shows

Before The Cult made their debut in 1984 with Dreamtime, they were known as Death Cult (and before that, Southern Death Cult). And to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the short-lived, early goth-rock incarnation of the band, they’ve announced a Death Cult tour. The group will be reaching back to their earliest days, performing material from their Death Cult and Southern Death Cult era, as well as material from the first two albums by The Cult, Dreamtime and Love. For the moment, they’re only playing one proper Death Cult show in the U.S., which takes place on October 23 in Los Angeles and includes support from Cold Cave. They’re also playing similar sets in the UK this fall. Prior to their L.A. date, they’ll be playing a U.S. tour featuring material from throughout their catalog. The Cult’s last album was 2022’s Under the Midnight Sun.
