Neil Young announces new album Storytone
Neil Young is releasing a new album. On Nov. 4, the legendary Canadian singer/songwriter will release Storytone, his 40th full-length record, via Reprise. And in fact, it’s two albums — a solo version of the album, and the “standard” version, which will feature a 92-piece orchestra and a choir. And as you might imagine, this means the album is being released in a variety of versions. The regular CD version of the album will feature the “Standard” album, while a Deluxe Edition will contain both the solo and standard versions packaged together. A vinyl version of the album, also containing both versions, will be released on Dec. 16.
Oh, and it’ll be out on Pono, natch.
The album was produced by Young and Niko Bolas under the name Volume Dealers. You can also check out new song “Who’s Gonna Stand Up?” at Neil Young’s website.
