Mike Patton, TV on the Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe, and Doseone announce album as Nevermen
TV on the Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe, Faith No More’s Mike Patton and Subtle’s Doseone announced all the way back in 2008 that they had formed a supergroup called Nevermen. Nothing ever really came of that, however, and we all sort of forgot about it. Today, however, the trio have announced that the collaboration is still on, and indeed, they are releasing music together.
Nevermen have announced that they will release their debut album in October, via Patton’s Ipecac Records. The group shared a new track from the album, titled “Tough Towns,” which you can stream via Rolling Stone.
“‘Tough Towns’ is dedicated to anyone remotely young, feeling inexplicably inspired in the ‘nowhere’ they are from,” Doseone says in an interview with Rolling Stone. “May you soon escape with style into elsewhere.”
