Kelela schedules new release date for Hallucinogen EP, shares new track
Los Angeles R&B singer Kelela was scheduled to release her Hallucinogen EP earlier this year, but was held up before the release date approached. Now, that EP’s release has been rescheduled for October 9 via Cherry Coffee/Warp, so we’ll finally get a chance to hear that long-awaited follow up to her outstanding 2013 debut mixtape, Cut 4 Me.
In a press release, Kelela says of the EP’s themes, “It speaks to the narcotic that is loving someone. It makes you exhilarated, it makes you feel drained, it’s in your body and it affects you so completely.” Today, Zane Lowe debuted a new track from the EP, titled “Rewind,” via his Beats 1 Radio show, and you can now stream that track. Listen to Kelela’s “Rewind” below.
Kelela Hallucinogen EP tracklist:
1. A Message
2. Gomenasai
3. Rewind
4. All The Way Down
5. Hallucinogen
6. The High
