SXSW announces initial lineup for 2016
SXSW has just announced its initial lineup of bands for 2016. Next year will be the 30th SXSW Festival, and it takes place on March 15-20 in venues throughout Austin, Texas. The SXSW 2016 lineup includes Crystal Castles, Barry Adamson, PUP, Pure Bathing Culture, Into It. Over It., Micachu and the Shapes, Alex G, Beverly, Haelos, Har Mar Superstar, Prince Rama, Self Defense Family, Yuck, Hinds, Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire and more.
As is the case every year, more bands will be announced in waves over the coming months, on up to the month of the festival itself, and more still will most likely perform at unofficial parties. Talib Kweli has also been announced as a speaker on a panel called “What It Means to Start a Label in the Digital Age.”
