Back in 2022, Failure announced a documentary in the works about the band, which is now finally being released. Every Time You Lose Your Mind, directed by the band’s own Ken Andrews, will be released on June 27 on Hulu/Disney+.

The documentary features interviews with David Dastmalchian, Margaret Cho, Hayley Williams, Jason Schwartzman, Tommy Lee, Maynard James Keenan, Butch Vig, Rick Beato and many others. The band have announced a film premiere in Los Angeles, with an acoustic set to coincide with it, as well as a handful of other live dates. Check those out below, along with the trailer for the film.

“Our fans have connected with the themes of depression and addiction in our music,” Ken Andrews said in a statement. “The film crystallizes those connections and, ultimately, communicates hope. We’re a band that faced a specific set of challenges and somehow managed to survive and thrive. It’s a story about resilience, finding ways to cope, and not giving up.”

Failure’s Fantastic Planet is featured on our list of the 150 Best Albums of the 1990s.
