Radiohead’s Ed O’Brien announces new album, Blue Morpho

Radiohead‘s Ed O’Brien has announced a new solo album. After releasing his debut album Earth under the name EOB, O’Brien will release Blue Morpho under his own name on May 22 via Transgressive. Today he’s released the album’s title track. Hear it below.
The album was produced by Paul Epworth, and it features contributions from Shabaka Hutchings and composer Tõnu Kõrvits. In a statement, O’Brien said the album was born of one of “the most challenging periods” of his life. So far there are no live performances announced, but he said he’s figuring out how the material will translate live.
