Downtown Boys have announced their first new album in nine years. On June 26, the group will release Public Luxury via Sub Pop. The first single is “No Me Jodas.” Check out its video below.

Vocalist Victoria Marie said about the new clip, “The video for ’No Me Jodas’ (translation: ‘don’t fuck with me’) is inspired by the aesthetic of ‘chicha’ —a music culture out of Peru that is also about economics, work, partying, life, desire, and nightlife. The ethic, as put by one Chicha musician, Chacalón, is two words: chamba and vacilón (hard work and partying).”

The band is also playing a handful of shows this month, including a date with the recently reunited Black Eyes.

Downtown Boys’ last album was 2017’s Cost of Living.
