Watch Marbled Eye’s tour-shot video for hypnotic post-punk track “Fade Away”

On May 22, Oakland post-punk group Marbled Eye release their new EP Forever via Digital Regress. And today, the group debuts a new video for “Fade Away,” which features tour-shot footage edited by Chris Natividad.
The clip comprises all kinds of wild visual stimuli, including performances from the band, ladybugs, poutine, ramen, a Michael Myers mannequin, smashing guitars, some sort of skeleton hot tub—it’s a lot to process but it’s super fun. The song itself is a wiry and agitated burst of post-punk heavy on dual guitar riffs and a hypnotic but infectious dissonance, bringing to mind Total Control or early Sonic Youth locked into a groove. Watch the clip below and pre-order Forever here.
