Beijing post-punk duo Naja Naja announce debut EP, share “Dong Dong”

Beijing post-punk duo Naja Naja have announced their debut self-titled EP, slated for release through Wharf Cat Records on April 29. The duo of Gou Gou and Yuhao craft heavily krautrock-influenced post-punk with an infectious but abstract sensibility, the kind of music that should fit in just fine alongside the label’s roster at the moment, including recent releases from Bambara, Bush Tetras, Public Practice and P.E. The first track they’ve shared from the album is “Dong Dong,” which carries an infectious pulse and a deep, bassy sound that’s somewhere between no wave weirdness and dancepunk immediacy.
