Dos Santos announce new album, Es Amor

Chicago quintet Dos Santos are returning with a new album. On August 28, the group—Jaime Garza, Nathan Karagianis, Peter “Maestro” Vale, Daniel Villarreal, and Alex E. Chávez—will release their first new album in five years, Es Amor, via Otherly Love. The first single is “Money Gun,” which you can hear below.
“Making this album together, each of us bringing our own stories and experiences, I couldn’t help but think of my father, of his melody, of everyone like him, then and now,” Chávez said in a statement. “Of people, immigrants, writing and singing love songs in the most brutal of circumstances, amidst power working to deny them their very humanity.”
Dos Santos’ last album was 2021’s City of Mirrors, which is featured on our list of the 100 Best Albums of the 2020s So Far.
