Faye Webster announces new album, Underdressed at the Symphony
Faye Webster has announced a new album. On March 1, she’ll release Underdressed at the Symphony via Secretly Canadian. The album features her two previously released singles “But Not Kiss” and “Lifetime,” and today she’s shared “Lego Ring,” featuring Lil Yachty. Hear it below.
“Going to the symphony was almost like therapy for me,” Webster said of the album’s title. “I was quite literally underdressed at the symphony because I would just decide at the last moment that that’s what I wanted to do. I got to leave what I felt like was kind of a shitty time in my life and be in this different world for a minute. I liked that I didn’t feel like I belonged”
Faye Webster’s last album was 2021’s I Know I’m Funny haha. “But Not Kiss” was featured on our list of the 100 Best Songs of 2023.
