Hear the hypnotic new psych-rock song from Golomb, “Take My Life”
On June 14, Columbus, Ohio group Golomb will release their new EP, Love. And today, they’ve shared the first new song from it, “Take My Life,” a heavy, dense and droning psychedelic garage rock track that recalls the hypnotic sensibility of Spacemen 3 along with the bluesy freakouts of Jason Pierce’s subsequent group Spiritualized and the wilder side of Yo La Tengo (and not just because the vocal-harmonizing duo of Xenia and Mickey are married—plus Xenia and drummer Hawken are siblings). It’s both a barnburner and a bit of a head trip, and you can hear the blazing new song from Golomb below via its video, filmed by Grace Lillash, and directed and edited by Mickey Shuman and Grace Lillash.
Golomb Love tracklist:
1. Sixth Sense
2. Dare You To Cry
3. Take My Life
