Hear Feaster’s new psychedelic groover, “Hold It On”

On May 8, Philadelphia’s Feaster will release their new album, Big Super, via Bad Catt Records. And today, the band shares their new single, “Hold It On.” The song is a versatile, shape-shifting wonder, opening with a spiraling, mystical psychedelic guitar lick before it transitions into more of a deeply grooving power pop gem that intertwines classic soul and R&B sounds with vintage psychedelia, reminiscent of Syd Barrett, The Flaming Lips and Echo and the Bunnymen with a touch of El Michels Affair in its funky undercurrent. They pair that with a sequence of surrealist lyrical images that takes its infectious weirdness just that much further. It’s a strange and wonderful song and you can hear the new track in its entirety below.
Pre-order the album here.
