Hear the driving new indie rock anthem from The Pilot Waves, “Patterns”
Florida’s The Pilot Waves is a band to watch, comprising singer/songwriter Tristan Jarvis, Rob Kelley on bass, TC Smith on drums, and Brad Sumner on guitar. Their name is a reference to “the Pilot-wave theory of quantum mechanics,” and they are preparing to release their debut full-length album via Ashtray Monument later this year, but before that happens, the group have shared a new single, “Patterns,” which Treble’s hosting today before its official release on Friday. It’s a driving blend of moody indie rock and sleek post-punk, with elements of psychedelia and disco inspired rhythms. It’s the kind of song that would feel right on both a coastline drive during the summer months or on a playlist of post-punk and goth anthems. Which is to say: It’s exactly the kind of thing we love. Hear it below, and take a look at the group’s upcoming live dates.
The Pilot Waves tour dates:
6/30 – New World Music Hall – Tampa, Fl (w/ Palomino Blond, Mold, and Novely)
7/22 – ‘Heat Fest’ – St. Petersburg, Fl
10/21- Monufest – New Port Richey, Fl
