Hear the haunting new dream pop song from Mint Field, “Sensibilidad Dormida”
On August 30, Mexico City-based dream pop/neo-psychedelia group Mint Field will release new mini-album Aprender A Ser: Extended, via felte. The new release was recorded during the same sessions as their 2023 album Aprender A Ser, and is an eclectic showcase of the group’s strengths, from atmospheric lullabies to massive sheets of distortion, and it likewise features an appearance from art-pop artist Mabe Fratti. Today, the group has released another new song from the mini-LP, “Sensibilidad dormida,” a gorgeously haunting piece of gothic-tinged dream pop that perfectly encapsulates the band’s uniquely enchanting sensibility. Yet over the course of its three minutes, it gradually escalates into a swirling shoegaze mass, thick with fuzz and heady effects. It’s spectacular. Hear it below.
