Mo Dotti share new noise pop gem, “Whirling Sad”
On September 20, Los Angeles noise pop/shoegaze group Mo Dotti will release their debut album, Opaque. They’ve already shared one single, the outstandingly hazy “Lucky Boy,” and today, they’ve released another new song, “Whirling Sad.” The new song arrives in the form of a VHS-style video that you might have seen on 120 Minutes back in the ’90s, and it was directed by Shelly Schimek. Meanwhile, the song itself its a thrilling rush of swirling fuzz-pop, reminiscent of vintage Lush, the sweeter side of My Bloody Valentine, and SST-era Dinosaur Jr. Hear it below.
Mo Dotti Opaque tracklist:
1. pale blue afternoon
2. lucky boy
3. really wish
4. wave goodbye
5. carnelian
6. whirling sad
7. for anyone and you
8. wasted delay
9. never comes around
10. dead to me
