Premiere: Glitter Wizard travel through dimensions on “Ten Foot Man”
On April 19, San Francisco-based stoner/psychedelic rock band Glitter Wizard will release their new album Opera Villains via Heavy Psych Sounds. The band is a favorite of post-punk/psych legend Julian Cope, and today Treble is premiering a new track from the album titled “Ten Foot Man.” It’s trippy, and it’s a ripper, with plenty of Sabbath-, Blue Cheer- and Deep Purple-style heavy rock ‘n’ roll to go around. There are panned laser sounds, big riffs, and hallucinatory storytelling, with plenty of headbanging energy. It’s a hell of a lot of fun, and a perfect anthem to throw on the Quadrophonic sound system in your custom van. Vocalist Wendy Stonehenge said the following about the song:
“‘Ten Foot Man’ is a typical boy-meets-man, man-takes-boy-into-an-alternate-dimension, boy-finds-severed-foot story. Timeless and classic.”
Well said. Listen to the Glitter Wizard “Ten Foot Man” stream below.
