Hear a new song from The Serfs, “Electric Like An Eel”
Cincinnati post-punk outfit The Serfs recently announced the details of their new album Half Eaten By Dogs, out October 27 via Trouble in Mind. The first single they shared was “Club Deuce,” which we named an Essential Track. And today they have another new song to share, “Electric Like An Eel,” which juxtaposes a cold, pulsing synth-pop backing in the vein of early New Order against wheezes of harmonica. It’s eerie, weird and, expectedly, very very cool. Hear the new song below.
The band, cryptically, said about the song in a statement: “An ‘electrophorus electricus’ swimming through a sewer on the moon, taking in the sights and making deals, stunning just to feel real.” Sure!
The Drin, which shares members with The Serfs, also recently released the excellent Today My Friend You Drunk the Venom earlier this year.
The Serfs live dates:

Oct. 31 – Cincinnati, OH @ Design Collective w/ Powerplant
