16 Horsepower announce first show in two decades

16 Horsepower, the Denver gothic country band fronted by David Eugene Edwards—also of Woven Hand—will reunite for a performance at the Fire in the Mountains festival. Fire in the Mountains takes place from July 23 to July 26 at Red Eagle Campground in East Glacier, Montana. It’ll be the band’s first performance in two decades, featuring the core trio of Edwards, Jean-Yves Tola and Pascal Humbert.
Edwards said in a statement, “It is a special honor and privilege to reunite and drift like sleep into the Hotel Montana. To the Great Blackfeet Nation’s sovereign lands for the Fire in the Mountains festival 2026.”
Other artists performing at the festival include Yob, Borknagar, Enslaved, Sigh, Wayfarer, Midwife, Tarantella and more.
David Eugene Edwards’ last album was 2023’s Hyacinth. 16 Horserpower’s Low Estate is featured on our list of the 150 Best Albums of the 1990s.
