Chelsea Wolfe reveals full details of new album Abyss
Last week, Chelsea Wolfe released the album trailer for Abyss, her upcoming follow up to 2013’s Pain Is Beauty. And today, the full details of that album have been revealed. Abyss will be released on Aug. 7 via Sargent House, and was recorded in Dallas with producer John Congleton (Swans, Angel Olsen, Baroness, St. Vincent). “Abyss is meant to have the feeling of when you’re dreaming, and you briefly wake up, but then fall back asleep into the same dream, diving quickly into your own subconscious,” says Wolfe in a press release, which also states that the album was inspired largely by Wolfe’s own issues with sleeping and dreaming, including sleep paralysis.
That’s the album cover above. You can listen to a stream of new track “Iron Moon” below, courtesy of Rolling Stone, and take a look at the tracklist.
