Protomartyr share new track “Don’t Go to Anacita,” new album in dive bar jukeboxes
Protomartyr has shared another new song from their upcoming album Relatives in Descent—which is currently our Album of the Week (it’s an amazing record). Following the early singles “My Children” and “A Private Understanding,” the Detroit post-punk group has shared the punk rock privilege critique “Don’t Go To Anacita,” via a jukebox video. In fact, in some not-so-viral marketing, the band has made the album available to hear early in jukeboxes in bars in New York and Detroit. Specifically, it can be heard at The Levee (Brooklyn, NY), Old Stanley’s (Brooklyn, NY), Bumbo’s (Hamtramck, MI), or Bronx Bar (Detroit, MI). Listen to the Protomartyr “Don’t Go to Anacita” stream below, and if you’re lucky enough to be near one of those bars, put a few dollars in the jukebox and play the whole thing.
Relatives in Descent is out on September 29. Read our review of the album.
